8:30am Brief orientation and prayer

Frequently Asked Questions

Can anyone participate?

Yes, all ages can find some way to serve. We do ask parents to accompany any child under 12 years of age.

What is the schedule of events?

We will kick off the Great Day of Service in the Fellowship Hall of Church Street United Methodist Church at 8:30am. We hope to have people working by 9:15am.

Is there a rain policy?

Some projects may be canceled in the event of rain, but indoor projects can proceed.

Will I need to sign a waiver?

Yes, everyone will need to sign a waiver before serving. Children under the age of 18 will need a parent’s consent in the form of a waiver.

What if I can’t physically do very much?

We have many opportunities for a range of people’s skills and physical abilities. Don’t be deterred – just choose what’s right for you.

How many hours will I be asked to serve?

Some projects will take a few hours, while most will conclude by 12pm. A few projects, such as those related to construction, may be longer.
